It’s been a year since I started on this journey.

Goal: Maybe 10 more pounds, but mostly tone everything up.
I really have no secret to it at all. There are some specific things you can do, but the moment you dedicate yourself to this and remember that even the little steps have put you in a different place than you were in before, it becomes a bit easier. (Mentally, not physically. Treadmills and burpees are demons in disguise.)

My body is far from perfection and my progress is ongoing… But whenever I feel down about my body I look at side by sides like this one and think of what a badass I am and how amazing my body has been to me 💪🏼

My name is Lauren and I am a blogging virgin. I thought that I would take this leap into the big wide world of blogging as something of a new challenge, and for those of you who know me know that I love a challenge!
So my name is Lauren and I have lost a bit of weight. 147lbs to be precise and I have maintained this for 5 years. 3 years ago I had a tummy tuck where they removed 7lbs of excess skin.
I started my weight loss journey a whopping 8 years ago and at the same time I started a little YouTube channel. I really didn’t think that it would ever amount to anything much… Boy did I prove myself wrong.
In all honesty I didn’t believe that I would amount to much and who would want to watch me fail…?So why am I writing a blog you may be asking?
Well over my 8 year life changing journey I have acquired a bit of knowledge and I thought that a blog would be a perfect platform to share my stories, tips, inspiration and help with you!!

Over the past few weeks I have been battling myself and struggling to be happy and focus on the positives. I don’t know if it’s self esteem or the devil trying to take away my progress. My weight hasn’t gone down in about 3 weeks and when it does it always goes back to 164. I feel so defeated and so frustrated that I have considered giving up completely. I can’t seem to find the motivation I had before and it’s crippling because just a month ago I was unstoppable. So i decided to look at some old pictures and I realized just how far I have come and how much happier I am. Taking care of my body and loving my body has improved my mental health tremendously. I think we all have hard times, when we don’t want to get out of bed and we want to give up but I don’t want to give up! I want to keep going and get better. So I made this before and after picture to fuel my motivation and yours if you need it. Whether it be weight-loss, school, or life, don’t give up because persistence always equals progress.
The left photo was taken in March 2015 and the right was taken December 22 2015. My heaviest weight was 215 but I don’t have a picture so I used this one. My total weight-loss is 51lbs and I went from a size 14 to a size 8/10.. I am proud and in awe of my accomplishment and this is a promise to myself that I am not done yet. I will be a personal trainer and reach my goal weight when God allows it, I just need to do my part and stay consistent and motivated.
